Tom → A male feline.
Molly → A female feline.

The Blazing Star → The term for the five main Clans that reside in one territory. Originated from the Blazing Star Prophecy from the fouding times.
Wanderer → A cat who resides outside the Blazing Stars.
Loner / Outsider → A term for a cat who resides outside the Blazing Stars.
Rogue → A derogatory term for a cat who resides outside the Blazing Stars.
Housecat → A cat who resides with Twolegs.
Kittypet → A derogatory term for a cat who resides with Twolegs.
Interclan → A cat who was born from cats via different Clans.
Halfclan → A derogatory term for a cat who was born from cats via different Clans.

CLAN LEADERSHIP
Leader → Leaders are in charge of the Clan as a whole and are the main representative of the Clan at gatherings. Leaders have the final say in most Clan decisions, perform many ceremonies, and lead their cats into battle.
Deputy → Deputies are the second-in-command behind the leader and are responsible for organizing daily patrols and overseeing apprentice training. When the leader dies, is exiled, or retires the Deputy takes their place.
Healer → A Clan cat who sits on the Council role and specialises in healing and usually, speaking to their ancestors. They gather and organize herbs and care for the sick and injured of the Clan. Spiritually, they provide guidance, look out for signs from StarClan, and aid in the performance of important Clan rituals.
Mediator → A Clan cat who specialises in officiating Clan voting, helping smooth over interpersonal disputes, and providing diplomatic support for the leader and Clan leadership as a whole.
Council → A group of senior and/or trusted warriors of the leader who advise in important decisions and are usually the top picks for mentor choices. The term "Council" is varied across different Clans. Other names for this rank include: Treasurer, Senate, Advisory or Owlsa.

WARRIOR RANKS
Caregiver → A Clan cat who specialises in nursing kits, sharing the Clan's history, general camp tidying duties and any other small jobs that need to be done. The term "Caregiver" is varied across different Clans. Other names for this rank include: Guardian, Warden, Storyteller or Lorekeeper.
Mortician → A Clan cat who specialises in preparing the dead for burial, performing last rites and aiding in funerary rituals. They also help support those who are currently greiving.
Messenger → A Modern Clan Role invented after the Great Battle of the Eclipse. A Clan cat who specialises in sending information and news to other Clans, especially during Clanwide events. They are usually the fastest cats in the Clan and tend to know a lot about the other Clans having spent time there.
Hunter → A Clan who specialises at hunting rather than fighting. The role is also a default for cats who are unsure of their future and/or prefer becoming a default warrior with no specialites. The term "Hunter" is varied across different Clans. Other names for this rank include: Fisher, Stalker or Moor Runner.
Protector → A Clan who specialises at fighting and/or general border duties (eg. scouting) rather than hunting.

OTHER RANKS
Daylight Warrior → A modern Clan role where a housecat spends the daytime at the Clan where they reside while spending nighttime at their Twoleg nest. These cats can take up a Warrior role and they are known to bring helpful items from Twolegplace to the Clan such as herbs, paints and fabrics. SkyClan was the Clan that invented this role.
Elder → Elders are retired Warriors. Most often, these are elderly cats who choose to retire around 10-12 years of age, sometimes earlier depending on personal circumstances. They are taken care of by Caregivers and Apprentices. Elders are permitted to no duties but are allowed to go on patrol and/or fight if they desire.
Apprentice → A young Clan cat who are typically around 6-12 moons old, training to gain a higher rank in the Clan with the help of an older cat, their mentor. They often take care of the Clan's elders and train daily with their mentors up until noon, when they are allowed to rest and hang out with others.
Kit → The youngest members of the Clan who are typically younger than 6 moons old and haven't been promoted to an apprentice yet. Kits are often taken care of their nursing parents or the Clan's Caregiver(s). They are not permitted outside of camp and are the first priority of protection in a battle or dangerous situation such as a natural disaster.

RIVERCLAN
Weaver → A Clan cat who specialises in gathering resources such as shells, kelp and plants to weave into the Clan walls and dens. Weavers can sometimes go out of Clan territory to look for resources that may not be available inside the Clan territories.
Forecaster → A Clan cat who specialises in watching out for signs of dangerous weather events, such as flash floods, poisoned rivers and more.
Camp Leader → A Modern RiverClan role that was invented after Splashtail's Reign. A Clan cat who takes up the deputy and leader roles inside a sub-camp.

SHADOWCLAN
Terraformer → A Clan cat who specialises in creating and maintaining pathways around the territory to help cats more efficiently traverse the area as well as shaping the territory with their most known tactis of forming more swampy and boggy areas for ShadowClan using water and mud.
Night Prowler → A Clan cat who specialises in hunting and/or fighting during the nighttime. They are quite similar to the default Warrior but spend most of the day asleep, working only at night. These cats are responsible for planning ShadowClan's famous sneak attacks.

SKYCLAN
Seer → A WindClan & Modern SkyClan subtype of the healer role. A seer focuses on spiritual guiding rather than specialising in healing. Although a seer does still provide healing the same as a normal healer.
Herbalist → A WindClan & Modern SkyClan role. A Clan cat who specialises in gathering herbs for the healer(s), other resources and taking care of the Clans territory and camp after a battle or natural disaster.
Painter → A Modern SkyClan role. A Clan cat who specialises in decorating the camp by crushing up different coloured plants and smearing them onto the camp walls, creating pictures of the Clan's history.
Scout → An Ancient SkyClan role. A Clan cat who specialises in scouting out enemy Clan's territories to plan a battle or invasion on the land. This role was abandoned after Modern SkyClan was rebuilt.

THUNDERCLAN
Builder → A Clan cat who specialises in building new dens for the camp, rebuilding the camp and/or parts of the territory after an incident or disaster and protecting the camp by standing on guard duty. All cats are taught a small selection of a builder's skills incase a more severe disaster strikes the camp and/or territory.
Ranger → A Modern ThunderClan role. A Clan cat who specialises in travelling outside of Clan territory to find injured cats / cats willing to join the clan, maintaining a good reputation with former clan visitors and protecting those in need. Rangers are a revamped and less aggressive role of the Lightning Spy rank.
Lightning Spy → An Ancient ThunderClan role. A Clan cat who specialises in spying out in other Clans territories to gain information and other Clan's secrets. This role was heavily controversial in ThunderClan and was disbanded when Pinestar gained leadership.

WINDCLAN
Seer → A WindClan & Modern SkyClan healer subtype role. A seer focuses on spiritual guiding rather than specialising in healing. Although a seer does still provide healing the same as a normal healer.
Tunneler → A WindClan & Modern SkyClan healer subtype role. A Clan cat who specialises in maintaining and digging out a network of tunnels underneath WindClan territory and hunt for prey below ground rather than above.
Herbalist → A WindClan & Modern SkyClan role. A Clan cat who specialises in gathering herbs for the healer(s), other resources and taking care of the Clans territory and camp after a battle or natural disaster.
