Sandstorm is a short-furred fawn tabby with dark stripes, one olive green eye and an unusually long tail

Sandstorm was a ThunderClan hunter under Hollystar's leadership, formerly under Firestar, Tigerstar and Bluestar's leadership. She was born to an unknown pair of BloodClan kits before being found and fathered by Redtail and Runningwind as Sandkit in ThunderClan. Sandkit was later apprenticed to Darkstripe by the new name of Sandpaw. After his apprenticeship, Sandpaw was later promoted to a full warrior as Sandstorm. He was later blinded and exiled by her leader, Tigerstar, before being welcomed back into ThunderClan after the latter's defeat. Further in life, Sandstorm retired, later being murdered by Darktail during a journey to find missing Clanmates.

Before the Spark: Rising Tides

Sandkit was found by the border by two ThunderClan cats, Redtail and Runningwind, who took the young kit in. When she was apprenticed to Darkstripe, Sandpaw became isolated from her Clanmates due to Darkstripe and partially Tigerclaw's abuse. Her father, Redtail, started to become very overprotective of Sandpaw and was wary to let Sandpaw near his mentor. Sandstorm soon graduated her apprenticeship, still maintaining a strained relationship with her fathers, ending up closer to Darkstripe and Tigerclaw.

Sandstorm has now retired and incredibly close to her younger litter, Alderpaw and Sparkpaw, after Firestar's death. When Alderpaw receives a vision of SkyClan, Sandstorm demands to journey alongside him to find them, much to the displeasure of Squirrelflight and Bramblestar. When her and the other journeying cats reach the gorge and find Darktail's Kin, ending up in capture, Sandstorm plans to help the younger cats escape and find their way back home with her, Breezestrike, Curlfeather and Tigerheart remaining imprisoned. Sleekpaw, Needlepaw, Sparkpaw, Brindlepaw and Alderpaw all manage to escape, alongside Tigerheart, but Sandstorm is killed by Darktail in the process, sending her to StarClan, where she now resides.

→ Sandstorm and Longtail are merged characters! Sandstorm (keeping the name because it's cool) has a mix of both characters appearance, personality and story, although more of Canon!Longtail's story rather than Canon!Sandstorm and more of C!Sandstorm's personality.
