Hollystar is a sturdy, solid black molly with spiky fur, green eyes and a white paw.

Hollystar was a ThunderClan leader, formerly a protector under Firestar's leadership. She was born to Leafpool and Crowfeather as Hollykit alongside her brothers Jayfeather and Lionblaze in ThunderClan, although they were adopted by Leafpool's sister and her mate, Squirrelflight and Brambleheart. Hollykit was later apprenticed to Firestar by the new name of Hollypaw. After her apprenticeship, Hollypaw was later promoted to a full warrior as Hollyleaf.

After an incident where Hollyleaf ended up taking a life of her leader, grandfather and mentor, Firestar, she exiled herself and ran to the tunnels underneath ThunderClan territory. After several seasons, Hollyleaf returned and made her way back in ThunderClan after many struggles to earn her place back. When Firestar died and Brambleheart stepped down from leadership, Hollyleaf was chosen to lead ThunderClan by the name and nine lives of Hollystar. Further in life, Hollystar was possessed by her former Clanmate and murder victim, Ashfur. After taking her body back, Hollystar led for a few more seasons before being murdered by Splashtail in battle.
